Batteries are unfortunately consumable items. And even if your laptop has 3 years warranty, the battery only has one years warranty. So when the battery on my XPS M1530 suddenly and totally died, and Dell refused to replace it since the laptop was 18 months old, I was well annoyed.
Replacement battery from Dell costs well over hundred quid. So comparing to that, this is good value. I haven't done excessive testing to see if it is as good as the original battery. I don't really care. I just needed a battery. But from normal day to day use, I would say it seems to do the job about as well as the original batter.
Works as promised, swap it to your old battery and you're done. Worth the fifty quid, if your old battery suddenly dies.
Outer casing shape seems to be poorly considered in the design. First it was tricky to plug. But after you get it on its works as it should.
Holds a descent charge (mine with lots of apps running for about 1.30hrs)
After the battery swap the cooling fan comes on every so often. May be coincident or may be the temp sensor in the battery sending wrong information.
Overall very happy with the purchase
